Stormentum Announces Leadership Team and Refreshed Strategic Vision for Next-Generation Distributed Power

April 13, 2026

Veterans from Tesla, SPAN, Lucent, Resonant, and SolarBridge join forces to build the software-defined power platform for the electrified, AI-driven era.

AUSTIN, TX — April 13, 2026 — Stormentum, a software-defined distributed power company developing next-generation electrical infrastructure, today announced its leadership team and an updated strategic vision reflecting the company’s expanded platform ambitions. The team brings together decades of executive, engineering, and commercial experience across clean energy, power electronics, and advanced technology sectors.

Stormentum’s proprietary Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) platform distributes power conversion, load integration, and system orchestration across a network of modular power processing Cells operating in a bidirectional AC/DC architecture. Introduced initially for residential solar and storage applications, the same underlying platform scales natively to AI data center power distribution, microgrids, distributed energy systems, bidirectional EV charging, and medium-voltage infrastructure solutions. Stormentum’s patent-protected platform reduces hardware complexity and cost, improves system efficiency, and is built on a common software-defined foundation for the next generation of electrified systems.

“We are at an inflection point in how the world generates, stores, and manages electricity,” said George B. Holmes, Chairman and CEO of Stormentum. “The team we have assembled — with deep roots in power electronics, clean energy commercialization, and systems engineering — is positioned to bring this platform to market at a moment when demand for a fundamentally better power conversion architecture has never been greater. Our strategy reflects where the opportunity is: one platform, built once, that serves every application from the home to the data center.”
