Co-led by Energy Transition Ventures and Levelized Capital, financing reflects increasing market interest in Stormentum’s modular multilevel converter (MMC) architecture to simplify and unify energy conversion across the electrification stack.
AUSTIN, TX — June 10, 2026 — Stormentum, a next-generation energy systems company, today announced the successful closing of its $1.5 million B-Convert financing, bringing total capital raised under its seed financing program to $3.5 million and further strengthening the company’s position as it advances toward a Series A financing.
The B-Convert financing consists of a $1.5 million convertible note carrying a $12 million valuation cap, representing an increase over the prior A-Convert tranche of $2.0 million on a $6 million cap.
The round was co-led by Energy Transition Ventures and Levelized Capital, with additional participation from Cyan Ventures and Semilla Capital, representing a growing syndicate of investors focused on electrification, energy transition, and advanced infrastructure technologies.
The financing momentum reflects increasing market interest in Stormentum’s modular multilevel converter (MMC) architecture, a software-defined power platform designed to simplify and unify energy conversion across residential, commercial, microgrid, and future utility-scale applications. By replacing multiple traditional power electronics systems with a distributed, modular architecture, Stormentum aims to reduce hardware complexity, improve efficiency, and create a common power platform capable of serving a broad range of energy applications.
Also participating in the round is the founder and chief executive of a leading microgrid infrastructure provider, reflecting Stormentum’s potential to extend into AI datacenters and distributed energy systems. The strategic participation underscores the increasing convergence between advanced power conversion technologies and the rapidly expanding demand for resilient, scalable electrical infrastructure.
“Demand for electricity and energy resiliency is being dramatically accelerated by the artificial intelligence infrastructure build-out and electrification of the economy, and is further complicated by the growing deployment of distributed energy resources,” said George Holmes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Stormentum. “The support of leading energy-transition investors and industry executives validates our belief that the future of power infrastructure requires a fundamentally different architecture. These financings position us to continue advancing our platform while building the strategic relationships necessary to accelerate commercialization.”
